Contribute to the Speech Pathology (and related) programs at Charles Darwin University (CDU)

About the Position
As a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Speech and Language Therapy, you will help build the teaching and research profile within the Faculty of Heath and will undertake independent teaching focused on the coordination and learning support for clinical placements. You will create, develop and manage effective systems and processes and enhance relationships with placement facilities in collaboration with academic team members and employees. You will be involved in the development and teaching of units (courses), utilising both on-campus and flexible-mode of teaching and learning support.

 

About You
To be successful, you will require: 

  • Possession of a degree in Speech Pathology and holding of current membership with Speech Pathology Australia as a Practicing Speech Pathologist.
  • Practice experience in providing clinical speech pathology services, including supervision relevant to the units within the Speech Pathology program.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in the development of appropriate programs to develop subjects and learning materials for on-line and hybrid delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, including an understanding of the importance of contributing to staff meetings, discipline, and university committees.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with well-developed time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in education, clinical abdication and post graduate reaching qualification or demonstrated interest and desire to obtain post-graduate teaching qualifications.
  • Ability to forge strong collaborative links and contribute to the growth of the profession in the region.
  • Willingness to embrace the knowledge, skills, and ideals of clinical practice in rural and remote areas.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the University values and commitment to the principles of reconciliation, which exemplify respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage and the valuing of justice and equity for all Australians.

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at Teaching Active Academic Level B/C. The base salary will be in the range of $110,500 to $153,889 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $129,285 to $180,050 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
