Allied Health Innovations Project: help shape the future of allied health service delivery
Posted in:
Do you have any suggestions on how the Allied Health service could be improved?
Do you have difficulties accessing the services you need?
Or you might have health and wellbeing needs that are going unmet?
We need you!
We are an interdisciplinary research team from Auckland University of Technology, the University of Auckland, Massey University, and the University of Otago, seeking healthcare consumers and allied health professionals to help shape the future of allied health service delivery. This study aims to come up with innovative ideas that meet the health and wellbeing needs of New Zealanders.
We will be holding a series of workshops/wānanga in four locations (Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington and Dunedin). Each participant will be asked to attend three workshops in their local area, each held one month apart (July - October). Workshops will be held in the afternoon/evening (approximately 4 hours in length), and food and refreshments will be provided at designated break times. Participants will be asked to share their ideas through a variety of arts-based activities and discussions to bring out individuals' views.
Participants can choose to attend wānanga at one of the following locations:
- Auckland - AUT South Campus, Manurewa, Auckland. To be held on Monday 28th July, Monday 1st September, and Monday 6th October
- Rotorua - Rotorua Library. To be held on Thursday 31st July, Wednesday 3rd September, and Tuesday 7th October
- Wellington - Wellington Regional Hospital. To be held on Thursday 31st July, Wednesday 3rd September, and Thursday 9th October
- Dunedin - School of Physiotherapy. To be held on Monday, 28th July, Monday, 1st September, and Monday, 6th October.
If you want to share your experiences with the health service and/or your health and wellbeing needs, join us to discuss ideas for addressing these issues. Please click here to find out more.
