We’re excited to announce a newly created role at Heretaunga Kindergartens, designed to make a real difference for tamariki, whānau, kaiako, and our wider support team. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you’ll play a vital role in strengthening the communication and language skills that empower our youngest learners to thrive.

What You’ll Do:

• Work 32 hours per week - flexible arrangements can be discussed
• Partner with tamariki, whānau, kaiako, and specialists to support development
• Collaborate with kaiako and our Education team on planning, strategies, and tailored approaches
• Help shape inclusive, equitable outcomes across diverse communities

What You’ll Bring:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy (NZSTA-recognised)
• Deep knowledge of speech/language development and child learning/behaviour
• Skill in translating specialist knowledge into practical strategies
• The ability to engage meaningfully with whānau
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Cultural responsiveness and a genuine commitment to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• A full NZ driver’s licence
