This workshop is a hybrid event which will consist of one LIVE Online session and one face-to-face session. The in person session must be attended in Melbourne.

Registrants should be speech pathologists or Early Childhood Educators.

Workshop overview

This workshop will provide participants with an overview of effective collaborative practice and frameworks that guide the process of collaboration. Current research describing the work of speech pathologists in early childhood education and care settings will be presented. Participants will also take part in activities throughout the workshop using collaborative practice frameworks to develop their own plan for implementing collaborative practice in ECEC settings.

Upon successful completion of this workshop participants will be able to

  • understand effective collaborative practice,
  • draw on the current research evidence to inform their practice for developing strong partnerships with ECEC staff,
  • plan for collaborative practice with ECEC staff.
