Are you a speech-language therapist with a passion for communication, connection, and community? Join the New Zealand Speech-language Therapists’ Association (NZSTA) in a unique, purpose-driven role that supports and grows the SLT profession across Aotearoa.
We’re looking for a creative and organised professional to coordinate member engagement, strategic communications, and public awareness initiatives. This is a varied role that offers plenty of scope to shape how we connect with our members and the wider public.
What you’ll do:
- Support area and student reps to strengthen our member network
- Manage membership pathways and CPD processes
- Help deliver events, campaigns, and awareness initiatives
- Contribute to public and media communications about SLT
What you’ll bring:
- A recognised qualification in speech-language therapy
- Strong written communication and digital media skills
- Experience in communications, project coordination, or membership services
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to culturally safe practice

This role would be suitable for an SLT mid-career.
Salary range: pro-rated $80,000 - $95,000 for 20 hours per week.
