About the role
Our Child Development Service in Whakatāne is seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join the team on a permanent part-time basis, working 36 hours per week.
As a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, you will be working with clients aged zero to two years who have disabilities or are at risk of developing them. You will be responsible for providing speech and language assessment and treatment, as well as feeding services for the children you see. You will be working as part of a small, multi-disciplinary, highly motivated team of Allied Health Professionals, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Social Workers.
Our successful candidate will thrive in a small team environment, working holistically with children in both community and home settings. You will also be seeing babies in our inpatient Special Care Baby unit at the hospital for feeding assessment and intervention.

About you:
- Eligible to work in New Zealand
- Eligible for membership to the NZSTA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full, clean NZ driver's licence
