NZSTA seeks a creative and organised social media assistant to support and enhance our online presence. This role is ideal for a speech-language therapy student or a social media enthusiast with a passion for communication and community engagement. You will be responsible for content creation, engagement tracking, and promoting key themes aligned with our professional community.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Management
- Develop engaging, informative, and visually appealing posts, graphics, and videos for NZSTA’s Facebook and LinkedIn profiles.
- Align content with the annual posting schedule, which includes monthly themes and key topics relevant to speech-language therapy.
- Utilise Canva Pro (provided) and a curated resource kit with templates and pre-designed posts.
- Ensure content reflects NZSTA’s values and mission, fostering a professional and inclusive online space.
- Community Engagement & Analytics
- Monitor engagement metrics and report on social media performance twice yearly.
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve reach and impact.
- Support online engagement by responding to comments and messages where appropriate.
Who We’re Looking For
- Strong understanding of Facebook/LinkedIn and social media engagement strategies.
- Excellent written communication skills with attention to tone and clarity.
- Creativity and ability to generate engaging, professional content.
- Familiarity with Canva (experience preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of the speech-language therapy field.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet content deadlines.
- A positive attitude and enthusiasm for promoting NZSTA’s mission.
Working Hours & Benefits
- 3 hours per week (flexible schedule).
