Independent Living Limited specialises in the assessment and rehabilitation of a person’s functional needs arising from an injury, medical, psychological, age and work related conditions. Independent Living currently holds a range of contracts with Accident Compensation Corporation Limited.

An opportunity has arisen to join our multi-disciplinary team, who service area covers Wellington/Hutt Valley/Porirua and Kapiti Coast.

This role includes visiting clients in their own homes and assessing, treating and managing a wide range of varied clinical presentations.

The role would suit an experienced Speech Language Therapist with the ability to independently manage a varied clinical case load including the provision of comprehensive assessments that clearly identify the needs of the client as well as developing (if required) rehabilitation programmes that enable the client to reach their optimum level of independence in both social and vocational activities.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required in order to effectively liaise with clients, their whanau and other health professionals as well as external agencies.

This contract would suit someone who requires flexible work hours and who has the ability to be able to work well autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Supported professional development via training and peer review will provide the opportunity to expand your skill set. A generous renumeration package is offered to the successful applicant.

Minimum requirements:

  • NZ registered Speech Language Therapist holding a current annual practising certificate and a member of NZSTA.
  • Three years clinical experience.
  • Current valid NZ full driving license.
