Kia ora,

You are invited to participate in a research study on speech-language therapist and whānau perspectives of speech-language therapy service provision in New Zealand. This study is being conducted by Dr Lisa Furlong from the University of Canterbury ׀ Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha. Other research team members include Julia Bowen (Research Assistant).

The survey aims to gather the perspectives of parents and speech-language therapists on speech-language therapy services in Aotearoa New Zealand. The findings will contribute to a better understanding of how services are experienced and where improvements can be made.   They will determine how speech-language therapy services in New Zealand align with best practice guidelines, support advocacy efforts for speech-language therapy services in New Zealand and, support future research focused on developing innovative supports for parents/caregivers who have children with communication and swallowing needs.

The anonymous survey will take approximately 20–25 minutes to complete, and participants will have the opportunity to enter a prize draw for one of ten $50 Woolworths gift cards.  We can take responses to the survey from the 11th of September until 23rd of October.
