Right now we have an exciting part time opportunity for a Speech Language Therapist, working a total of 32 hours per week, split between our Community Rehabilitation (20 hours), and Inpatient Services (12 hours).

In this role you will work within a multi-disciplinary environment where your speech language therapy intervention will address patient/whānau issues caused by a change in health status, including adults in the community, predominantly in their own home, as well as hospital based patients in our Acute Stroke Unit and Assessment Unit.

Working within the Community Rehabilitation Service you will work autonomously and as part of a team, managing your own workload and timeframes. There are also expectations of common tasks that are shared amongst disciplines on behalf of the team as a whole.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be registered and have a current practicing certificate
  • Have experience working with adults in a hospital setting

Desirably you will have experience working in a community setting and ideally post graduate experience in treating neurologically based communication disorders.
